Employment Policies
Conditions of Your Employment
This employee handbook is provided to answer common questions posed by employees. It is a summary of ThinkDevs policies and work rules and how they will affect you. Please read it carefully and learn its contents. If you have any questions about our policies and practices that are not answered by this handbook, please feel free to ask any of the partners for clarification.
Continuity of Policies - Right to Change/Discontinue
This handbook replaces all earlier ThinkDev handbooks and takes precedence over all written and oral descriptions of Company personnel policies, practices, and procedures. To avoid confusion, please discard any old manuals and handbooks you may have. With the exception of its policy of at-will employment and those policies compelled by law, ThinkDev may change the policies, practices, and procedures described in this handbook at any time without notice.
Equal Employment Opportunity is Our Policy
In keeping with our commitment to the communities in which we do business, ThinkDev is an equal employment opportunity employer. The Company will not discriminate against qualified applicants or employees with respect to any terms or conditions of employment based on race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, military service status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal law.
At-Will Employment
You are free to terminate your employment with ThinkDev at any time, with or without a reason or advance notice, and ThinkDev has the right to terminate your employment or the employment of other employees at any time, with or without a reason or advance notice. Cause is not required to terminate your employment. This is called "at-will employment.
New Hires
All offers of employment are contingent on verification of your right to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. On receiving a conditional offer of employment, you will be asked to provide original documents verifying your right to work and asked to sign a verification form required by federal law. If you cannot verify your right to work in the United States, ThinkDev may be obliged to revoke the offer of employment.
Introductory Period
All employees are introductory employees for the first 90 days of employment. During this period, you and the Company will have an opportunity to evaluate one another and your compatibility, ability, and interest in the job. The Company will use this period to determine whether you are initially willing and able to meet its expectations.
